for more INSPIRATION//vol 1

Welcome to a new weekly post where I will be sharing four items that inspire me…whether art, design, fashion, music, etc. Enjoy!

1. NOISETRADE: You totally need to check it out… free music from the artists. Got your attention now?!? ha. It’s a cool concept of letting the fans virally promote the music and in return they (we) get free music. I was excited to find on Andy Zipf as one of the artist. I HIGHLY recommend you go download him right now. No, but seriously he’s a-maz-ing. I’ve been to couple of his shows and if you haven’t been you need you go. Quite a memorable experience!

2. WRECK THIS JOURNAL: My mentor gave me this journal a few years ago and I never got very far in it. I now keep it on my desk for when I need a break from work! It’s a super cool/random journal by the talented illustrator, Keri Smith. The other day I was required to “pour, spill, drip, spit, and fling” my coffee onto the page…It got a little messy. Be sure to check out the Flickr group with people completed journals!

3. LISTOGRAPHY: Anyone else LOVE making lists?!? It’s probably one of my favorite past-times. ha! I just feel so organized and like I can conquer the world when I see the day’s tasks written out in front on me. I scored the Listography Weekly Calendar for 50% at Barnes and Noble this year. It serves as almost a journal for me. I already have another planner with more space for notes and appointments, so I write down the highlights of my day the Listography calendar. Check out the other Listography books available. Great gifts.

4. KIKKI.K: This Swedish Stationary company is quite cute. While I was in Australia I went into one of their boutiques and I was instantly inspired. I actually bought the mechanical ice cream cone pencil above. So cute. Kikki K. has so many darling illustrated-themed stationary sets… from vintage bicycles to bon voyage travel diaries. There aren’t any shops in the States, but at least check out the website.
