Here’s some of my favs from Josh + Sam’s engagement shoot. We were in Winchester, Virginia…a very historic town with tons of character. I love the library… such romantic architecture!
Right now photography is a hobby for me… I’m def not confident in it, but this year I want to be proactive in learning more and just taking more shots. Photos are such a HUGE source of inspiration for me. Like other forms of art, there’s such an emotional element that captivates me. When I come across an amazing photo I just stare and “have a moment.” I can get frustrated/intimidated when I come across something I want to capture and just can’t get it quite right. That may stem from my fear or failure, but then again there is beauty that sometimes we can only encounter first hand… Wow, that got a little personal. How did that happen? ha! Anyway, here’s some more of Josh & Sam.

I really love these pictures. They are great! They seem so natural and so non-posey, if that’s even a word. I’m trying to get back into writing and doing more creative arts, so I can completely relate to the fear of failure. That’s how I felt before starting up my blog and now that its up and running, I feel good about it no matter what the outcome might be. Fear can transcend to so many things in our lives and keep us for doing what we really want to do. I’m glad you’re taking the step and following your creative desires, because what you’ve produced is really beautiful. Job well done!
