4 more inspiration

Okay, so I haven’t done one of these posts since MARCH, but this monthly post is back. Here are a few random things that lately I have found inspiring or just cool.

#1-Watching the Sunrise If you have never watched the sunrise, I HIGHLY recommend it! Most times in the past jet-lag has been the cause and motivation for being up at an ungodly hour. Last week I stayed up working on a project/insomnia and rather than hoping to bed at 5:30 am, I decided to go for a little walk and watch the sunrise. It was a special time and cool to reflect on the symbolism it represents and witness it’s beauty.

It was a little embarrassing as I was standing there in a nighty and toms with my camera as this cute little old man jogged by for his morning stroll. He probably was wondering what the heck I was doing. Ahhh, awkward moments- I live for them. haha. Anyway, pull an all-nighter with a friend or set that alarm and go crazy…you won’t regret it!!

Headband

#2 Baby Headbands I recently got a hold of a couple baby headbands (yes, random I know) and tried them out for myself and I am hooked…. this is more of a little fashion tip. BUT I love the lacey look and they hold great and don’t fall down. I also wear them for running and they stay tight and keep my bangs out of my face. Love. You should give one a try. I know fall is pretty much hear and most are white, but maybe dye it brown or black or orange. Just a thought.

bangkok

#3 Bangkok Tea My all-time favorite green tea is Bangkok from Harney and Sons. It’s delish and is a mix of green tea, lemongrass, vanilla, coconut and ginger. I have been out of this for months now, but once I save my pennies, I will hopefully get some more. Harney and Sons has so many blends and the packaging is so classy. I also adore the tea tins and always save them and use for storage, like this pink one for my sharpies. There’s just something about a cup of tea that is good for the soul.

a fine frenzy

#4 A Fine Frenzy I hope you’ve heard the beautiful music of Alison Sudol. If not, CHECK HER OUT!! I have always listened via streaming (a Pandora favorite), but this week I got a $5 coupon for Amazon MP3s and her first album (One Cell in the Sea) was $5 and it was meant to be. You need to go and watch/listen to Almost Lovers now… it touches the heart. And PS- don’t you just love her style?!? Another redhead bombshell. sigh.

Well, that’s it for now… until September. Feel free to share the latest and greatest inspirations you’ve come across. I love checking out new things!!

  5. Yesterday my husband said I was ‘a frenzy.’ I said, “A FINE frenzy?” Lol. I am enjoying reading your blog. I am embarrassed to say I had looked at it via links from other friends’ blogs and–I don’t know how I missed it, other than that I somehow didn’t see your face when I looked–enjoyed it without knowing it was YOU! Now that I know, it’s just that much better :)
