she is julia…

The face behind the name…Julia (aka Julie). In case you didn’t know, Julia’s Poppies is named after my dear grandmother. She’s a very special lady and I love her so.

She always went by “Julie” and once in middle school I saw her drivers license with “Julia” printed on it. I always felt like her “true identity” was my little secret. Another childhood memory of her is the paper poppies she would buy from the veterans. She would put the poppy on her car visor or on the lapel of her jacket….hence, “Julia’s Poppies.”

If you ever contact me, I won’t be offended if you call me Julia… it happens daily. :)
