Anyone else sick of sorting through piles of earrings looking for that match?!? I put an end to the kayos and sorted through every last earring, pairing it with its match. It was part of my deep-organizing mission (part 1)… Oh the little things in life. :)

If you do not know, I reside in my sister’s guest room. Being the wonderful hostess she is, the room has a luggage rack for guests. My stay has been quite a bit longer to be considered a visitor, but I still decided to put the rack to use. I turned a corner of the room into a little vanity-ish area. Remember my collection of vintage suitcases from my place in Tucson? They have survived moving around city to city, state to state, logging many miles on the road.

This project is super easy and as long as you can thread a needle, you’re good to go! Grab your supplies and let’s get organized!

Oh, and there’s still part 3 of “my space” so stay tuned. :)

The weight of the earrings will pull on the thread, so while creating a knot allow the least amount of resistance/give.

Make as many rows as you wish. You could even plan which earrings are being placed on each row to allow for proper spacing. I wish I would have done this. It would be a quick fix to adjust the rows. Don’t forget to use the top trim (seen below) if your suitcase has it. Just poke the earrings through the fabric.
