Jessica and Micheal are married AND they had such a cool wedding stationery suite. I loved working with Jessica and hearing all the details she was planning. You can view a style preview of her special day as featured on the Cedarwood Mansion blog. I already shared the invitations a while back, but now here is the full suite.
We kept the same art from the invitations for both the program and escort cards. She hung the escort cards with clothespins. The programs were four pages and connected with little-bitty clasps. Jessica wanted to feature the bridal party with stick figures in a fun, original way. Love.

Linda was the winner of the Wedding Chicks Birthday Giveaway back in March. It’s ironic because she’s in DC and I had just moved away from the DC metro area. It was a pleasure to design some chic little invitations for her! She added a details and thank you card to make a complete wedding suite.

It sounds like its going to be quite the event and DC is sure the place to make that happen! Linda & Matthew I wish you the best!

Two of my dear friends got married this past weekend in “hotlanta.” I so wish I could have made it. Okey’s looking quite dapper and Leslie… well, she just has it going on!! They make the CUTEST couple and they are some of the most A-MAZ-ING people I know!! I just wanted to share this pic because I love it as much as I love them!
Here’s a mock up of their program to match their invitations (Blanche from the Classy Ladies Collection) and website.

Here’s the card I made for my friends over at Abolition Media. “Abolition Media creates communities of local musicians and artists who use the platform of music, arts, and media to raise awareness about modern-day slavery, as well as raise funds to fight modern-day slavery, and connect the community to practical ways they can get involved and make a difference.”
They are currently raising funds for the 333 CAMPAIGN, which is in collaboration with Streetlight Phoenix to provide safe housing and prevent further risk of exploitation to victims of child sex slavery here in southern Arizona.
You can support Abolition Media this Wednesday, August 11 (details here) and check out some bands… (more…)

I recently did a little branding work for Rachel Spears Photography of Cincinnati, Ohio. Rachel wanted to play off the earthtones of her current website and have something that captured her fun personality, yet be modern and cute. Specifically, she wanted to focus on getting a logo and a new CD design.
We were a little fun with the typeface and leaf design and kept it a little modern/funky/retro with the lines. The square logo can easily be incorporated on her website and would make rad square business cards. I also added the circle “rs photo” design to be used for packaging… maybe turn into stickers or print off as a unique sized stationery with a square envelope?!? So many options. haha

Here are some of the logo options we went through to come out with the final design.

Isn’t this adorable?!?! Rachel, you’re quite the talented lady!!

Janine got married yesterday, so now I can share the programs and menus I did for her. She took the two pages and made fans for her outdoor wedding. I love how bright the colors are. You can see I incorporated some of the design elements from her invitations. The reception had an “Around the World” menu, hence the passport menus…so fun!!

This New England bride wanted to spice up the traditional formal wedding invitation. We used metallic paper, scrolls with a TON of movement and fun, charming flowers. The main invitation features a chandelier that I drew based on the one in the reception ballroom.

Go, Fight, Win!!! I never was the cheerleader type… though I was voted “Most School Spirit” in high school. haha. Oh man. Anyway, here’s the tee I designed for North Georgia Christian’s cheer camp. I think athletic apparel often looks too boring or too cheesy. I try to take the “fun” approach and incorporate the same standard icons (ie, megaphone) in a new way. Dig it?!?

My brother-in-law and sister are hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament this weekend. Sounds like so much fun and I wish I could be there to hang out and play!! It’s random events like this that make me miss family, but hopefully I can visit soooooon!!

I’ve mentioned before that I live and work in one room… it’s my bedroom/studio. Here’s a peek at where the magic happens. And by magic I mean lots of coffee consumption, beautiful music playing and me sitting at my computer.

My desk/work table

This wall is not finished…so this would be the “before” look.

One of my besties is about to have her first baby!! So exciting!! Her and her hubby are creating the cutest nursery and bought the Brooke Bedding Set from Pottery Barn Kids. Adorable!! Love all the patterns and fabrics! She asked me to create some thank you cards inspired by the design and this is what I came up with. You may recall the baby announcements I did for them earlier this year.
I love, love, love Dan & Heather and can’t wait to meet their little one!!! Nine more weeks!! :)

It’s only taken me forever and a day, but I finally started going through the pictures from my beautiful sister‘s wedding. I was a bridesmaid, so this is more of a “behind the sense” look at her special day. Sam & Josh got married in Winchester, Virginia at Hunting Ridge Retreat (where my brother & sister-in-law live and work).
You may remember her invitations and engagement pics I previously shared. My mom did all the decor (and catering!!)… yes, she is super-human at times. It turned out to be a magical evening!

Here are the shabby chic wedding invitations for Amy’s Georgia wedding. You may remember her Save the Dates I shared a month or so ago. I love her style and the look she was going for… a touch of vintage and emphasis on white for the complete shabby chic look. You like? (more…)

Do you ever talk to someone once and know that you could be instant friends?!? Well, when I first chatted with Janine about her wedding invitations I knew we’d get along great. She’s getting married at a winery in San Martin, California and wanted to have fun invitations yet maintain a strong formal tone.
Her wedding already had many vintage elements and fun colors. We brought in the vines and used the colors and swirls to make this suite a little funky, while keeping an overall traditional look.

You may remember the Save the Dates I designed several months ago, well here is the romantic and enchanting invitation. This was my first time working with a thermographer and the final results fit the formality of this wedding! If you’re not familiar, thermography is a raised printing and an alternative to letterpress or embossing. The bride wanted lots of texture and this suite is rich with patterns and dimension and complete with custom stamps.

Who doesn’t like things to be matchy-matchy?!? Well, I mean coordinating, complementary, a nice package, etc…you get it. Anyway, one thing I have been up to is offering website design for weddings. That way the website couples are encouraging their guests to visit has the same look and feel as the custom invitations.
It’s cool all the different approaches couples take to share their story and provide the wedding details. I have a variety of wedding packages now available, including à la carte items…though I do create custom packages as well.

The website above is for my little sister, Sammy Jo! She get married THIS SUNDAY!!! Craziness! haha. I am sooo excited for her! Like any big sister, I am going to take a moment and brag on her. When she was deciding on a Maid of Honor, she supplied all me and my sisters with an application. It was hilarious…here’s a peek at it. (more…)

Happy Tuesday!! I hope everyone’s having a great week. I just had a yummy croissant and coffee, so I am feeling pretty dang good! ha! Oh, the little things in life!
Anyway…isn’t this couple too cute! I think ADORABLE is the perfect adjective to describe them! Amy is a Georgia bride and wanted her wedding stationery to have a shabby chic feel and was inspired from the Save the Dates I did for Matt & Brittany. She wanted to incorporate lovebirds and floral/vine elements. For the Save the Date we went with a postcard with a nice matte finish. It’s super easy to then just stamp, address and pop ‘em in the mail! AND I love how her dress matches perfectly!
Her invitations will have a similar “feel” and I’ll get to share those in the next couple weeks.
Have a fabulous day!!

This wedding suite was my first shot at screen printing…eek! As I shared earlier, it was an adventure. I do love how they turned out. They have such a personal and homemade feel, perfect for this Texas barn wedding! The bride did a great job in selecting her colors and paper. The white and green POP on the kraft chip board! The paper adds natural and organic elements as well.
The suite included an invitation and a Response Postcard. Below are blank cards to be used for thanks yous or personal stationery for the couple.

Both the postcard and suite envelope was a labeled with a green “ribbon” sticker.
